we source our miswak sticks directly from farms in pakistan, where the salvadora persica tree grows naturally without the need for synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilizers. every stick is hand-harvested, sun-dried, and minimally processed to preserve its natural benefits.

our commitment to the planet means we never use plastic our products. each miswak stick is vacuum sealed for freshness, then placed in a reusable and biodegradable bamboo holder or paper-based pouch. we're constantly researching alternatives that preserve quality without sacrificing our zero-waste goals.

we believe in progress over perfection. while our bamboo holders and shipping materials are fully plastic-free, we currently use a vacuum seal made with plastic to protect the freshness and hygiene of our miswak sticks.

this packaging was part of our first production run, and we chose it to preserve quality while we researched better alternatives. we're actively sourcing plant-based, compostable vacuum seal options and plan to fully transition once our current inventory is complete.

our goal is a fully plastic-free, refillable experience. in the meantime, we're committed to full transparency and welcome any feedback or ideas from our community.

planteet is designed to reduce everyday waste. our bamboo miswak cases are made for reuse and travel, so you can refill with new sticks instead of buying new containers. we also encourage our customers to compost or repurpose any packaging that comes with your order.
